Who we are:
Founded in 2001, Super7® is the premier pop-culture design house and producer of lifestyle-oriented collectibles, toys, and apparel based in San Francisco. Super7® has harnessed the graphics, aesthetics, and energy of our youthful obsession with science fiction, giant monsters, comic books, punk rock, skateboarding, robots, and rebellion to build a unique and innovative business that crosses all categories and is not bound by traditional manufacturing boundaries.
What we are looking for:
Do you live and breathe toys, collectibles, and all things pop culture? Do you get a thrill out of turning an idea into a real product that fans can hold in their hands? If so, Super7 wants you on our team!
We’re on the hunt for a Product Development Manager who can keep the wheels of production turning—fast, smooth, and on target. This role is the glue between design, licensors, and our overseas vendors, making sure every product is delivered on time, on budget, and to the high-quality standard our fans expect.
We’re a team that works hard, laughs harder, and thrives on bringing geek dreams to life. If you’re organized but flexible, detail-obsessed but creative, and know how to solve problems without losing your cool, we’d love to meet you. This is a full-time, remote position (bonus points if you can tell us your favorite action figure of all time during the interview).
What you’ll do:
- Take charge of projects from concept through production and delivery, setting clear expectations with vendors, licensors, and teammates.
- Be the bridge between departments, licensors, and factories—making sure everyone’s on the same page, approvals are moving, and deadlines are being hit.
- Own the details: RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, purchase orders—keeping everything documented, tracked, and approved.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Spot risks before they become problems, find solutions fast, and keep projects moving.
- Guard the brand: Ensure every product meets Super7’s quality, aesthetic, and safety standards—and help licensors understand what makes our style unique.
- Team up with vendors: Build strong partnerships with our overseas factories to keep timelines tight and costs in check.
- Push for better: Bring ideas to the table to improve workflows, speed up processes, and make production smoother for everyone.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in product development or project management for consumer goods (bonus if it’s toys or collectibles).
- A strong background in plastic injection manufacturing and other production methods.
- Expertise in RFQs, cost negotiations, and vendor management (especially overseas).
The ability to speak fluent “production” with designers, licensors, and factories—and keep everyone aligned. - Comfort with tools like Google Suite, Excel, Airtable, Basecamp, and basic Adobe/3D file viewers.
- Killer communication skills, a cool head under pressure, and a knack for solving problems on the fly.
- A detail hawk’s eye for quality control—you notice the little things that make a big difference.
- A self-starter mindset—you can run with projects independently but love being part of a team.
If you’re ready to turn ideas into must-have collectibles and help keep the Super7 production machine humming, we want to hear from you!
