Smart Carts of Maine is looking for a Production Associate to join our team and help with the manufacturing of our products. The candidate will be primarily focused on the production and packing of our wood products, but all employees are cross-trained on and have the opportunity to work on both wood-side and cart-side production. The Production Associate must be able to work quickly and accurately while adhering to high safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Production and packing of wooden garden products
- In addition to wood production and packing activities, this employee will also have the opportunity to cross-train and support operations on the cart-side production and packing. As a small team, all employees are expected to learn other roles so they can fill in for and assist others when there are absences in the shop.
- Follow safety protocols in all aspects of the job
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Transport heavy packages (using material handling equipment to ensure safety)

- Experience setting up and operating basic fabrication equipment (saws, drills, etc.)
- Someone who is able to work well with a team
