Production Leader – Plating Operations
General Requirements:
· 5 years of industrial experience
· Prior experience in chemical processing environments a plus
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Self motivated and driven
Description:
Directly reports to Plant Manager
The production leader will monitor daily production operations and ensure not only output, but compliance with all processing requirements and specifications. This includes but not limited to the coating properties of all finished products. In conjunction with day to day activities, the Production Leader will coordinate identification of any work center issues, concerns, upgrades and/or improvements to support the continuous improvement goals of the Company.
Plant & Equipment:
Monitor the day-to-day scheduling of equipment based on customer releases. Secure and maintain all equipment in good operating condition to achieve continuous control over the quality of processed parts. Daily review of process and productivity metrics with Plant Management. Customer WIP inventory tracking and reconciliation based on workflow, incoming orders and shipments.
Quality System and Safety:
Participate in problem resolution and customer feedback/responses. Indirect ownership of ISO9001 processes including but not limited to divisional quality. Maintain and expand standard practices and procedures through continuous training objectives. This individual will also work closely with laboratory staff and customers to better improve objective goals and results.
Promote and ensure employee and plant safety. Familiarity with OSHA requirements and founding principles is a plus.
Participate with Plant Manager in daily production meetings.
Labor and Training:
Indirect oversight in the coordinated efforts in relation to all labor and staffing. Under the direction of Plant Management, organize education and training of all personnel per Company objectives to secure continuous improvement throughout the operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
