1. Champion the Ritz safety culture by enforcing and improving established safety policies.
2. Promote the Ritz Quality Policy by fostering a team environment between you and your direct reports.
3. Support overall teamwork by collaborating with the Human Resource, Engineering, Sales, and Maintenance departments to optimize efficiency.
4. Ensure that all employees are following established company policies and procedures at all times.
5. Review call offs, the production schedule and align resources accordingly. Ensure all employees are present.
6. Review "Daily Time Clock Report", document conversations with any employees regarding nonconformance to attendance policy including abuse of break and lunch periods.
7. Process Time-Off Request Forms and document the request in the appropriate log. Coordinate resources to cover for future absenteeism.
8. Establish and maintain a working 6S plan for your department.
9. Attend all requested conferences and or meetings punctually.
10. Audit training records of your direct reports and ensure that your team is 100% certified on all required job training for their primary job assignment.
11. Monitor Employee Efficiency Tracker/TPM Programs - Have process improvement dialogue with direct reports at a minimum of every two hours.
12. Maintain and review daily employee production results for individuals on the "Weekly Operator Report Card". Analyze trends and create corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
13. Complete annual reviews for all direct reports accurately and on time.
14. Inspect all QA Hold areas ensuring that fab tickets and paperwork are sufficiently completed for the non-conforming materials that have been placed there on your shift.
15. Participate in daily non-conforming material reviews and communicate feedback and or actions to your team. Address performance-based opportunities with the team.
16. Review process/quality logs at employee workstations to ensure that they are being completed.
17. Ensure that all in process validations and quality gates are being adhered to and that all documentation, i.e., logbooks, calibrations, etc. are being maintained.
18. Conduct and complete all assigned internal audits, corrective action request, etc. timely and accurately.
19. Engage in a carryover dialogue with the outgoing/incoming shift.
20. Drive the achievement of production/quality metric results and identify gaps. Collaborate with team resources to close those gaps.
21. Review applicable production schedules and coordinate efforts with the other shifts. Execute request from the planning department concerning normal operations, emergency orders, etc.
22. Evaluate and monitor department processes, i.e., work instructions, safe job procedures, etc. Recommend and coordinate changes based on process analysis using the process change procedure.
23. Be an effective presence on the production floor.
24. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate on-the-job training for new employees
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology. This is normally acquired through three to five years of office experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 70 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, material gloves and steel toe boots. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Hair that touches the shoulder must be pinned up so as not to touch the shoulder.
Coordinate department activities and special projects. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
