Sunday - Thursday: 3rd Shift 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
**Must be willing to train for approximately 8 weeks on 1st shift 6AM-2PM**
The position will lead and supervise operations in the production of high-quality animal diets. This position has responsibility for the operation and manufacturing of automated and semi-automated feed mill equipment.
Perform working-supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws for all direct reports
Responsibilities include planning, assigning, directing and performing diet production work, coaching, and training, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
Responsible for the overall safety of employees through employee training and education programs, plant security and safe equipment operation
Responsible for overall process flow of all ingredients and diets throughout the site
Ensure finished product diets are produced within specifications using the predetermined quality parameters
Identify, analyze and resolve shift challenges and assist co-workers in solving production related issues
Interprets company policies and regulations to administer coaching, corrective action, and training to ensure proper operations
Coordinate activities between shifts to ensure timely startups and shutdowns of the production process
Adhere and strive to meet all established shift Key Performance Indicators
Inspect equipment, ingredients and finished product to verify that all diets are produced within specifications using the predetermined quality parameters
Attend and coordinate daily production meetings with co-workers and direct reports
Maintain scheduled and consistent work attendance as a leadership example
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Completed High School education or GED
English communication – written, reading and oral
Previous supervisory experience is required
Proven mechanical aptitude
Preferred Skills
Neat and legible handwriting
Developed and accurate basic math ability – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
Ability to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documents
Ability to work in a standing position for periods of time up to 4.0 hours
Perform repetitive tasks
Microsoft Office Suite – user skills
Prior feed mill experience is preferred

Physical mobility within facility
Ability to lift 55 lb. objects from floor to shoulder height
Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders
Aptitude to comprehend solid and liquid process flow
Willing and able to work overtime as needed (including nights and weekends)
*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
