About the Role
Voices for Children of Broward County is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic development of our direct service programs for children in foster care. This newly created, grant-funded position will supervise the Child Welfare Navigator(s), lead program implementation, and support the growth of impactful, trauma-informed services across the community.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about improving outcomes for children and families. They bring strong leadership experience in child welfare or social services, excel at building effective partnerships, and are eager to help shape evolving programs in a fast-paced, community-centered environment.
This position is grant-funded and will require flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset as the program evolves. Continued employment is contingent upon available funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and support to Child Welfare Navigator(s)
- Oversee day-to-day program operations, ensuring effective delivery of essential needs, normalcy activities, and family support services
- Lead program design, implementation, and expansion in response to community needs
- Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements
- Represent the organization at court staffings, community meetings, and collaborative workgroups
- Build and sustain partnerships with stakeholders including Dependency Court Judges, Guardian ad Litem programs, and CBC agencies
- Support the alignment of program tools, resources, and program standards as services grow across South Florida
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen long-term program sustainability and impact
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field (required)
- 3–5 years of experience managing child welfare or social service programs
- Supervisory experience and strong knowledge of Florida’s child welfare system
- Strong understanding of Florida’s dependency system
- Experience working with diverse families and trauma-informed care
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/case tracking systems
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry program materials as needed
