As the VALORANT China Program Manager III, you’re responsible for ensuring the VALORANT team is effectively serving our players in China. You will work closely with partners in Riot’s China Publishing organization, Riot’s central tech organization, and our partners at Tencent to ensure everyone is aligned on how we’re serving these players. You will work closely with VALORANT product leadership to ensure that region specific needs are addressed and balance appropriately within VALORANT’s unapologetically global approach.
You should bring a proven track record of influencing across teams and products to deliver compelling experiences for your customers. You should have a deep understanding of player expectations in China. You should also build strong relationships with developers across teams at Riot and partner developer studios. Responsibilities:
- Ensure that VALORANT PC meets desired performance metrics in China
- Bring insights from Riot China and Tencent into the feature roadmap for VALORANT PC
- Serve as VALORANT’s primary representative to both Riot China and Tencent
- Coordinate with Riot & Tencent publishing to ensure publishing efforts match product deliveries
- Collaborate with VALORANT operations leadership to ensure that Valorant PC operates at the same or better level of quality as other regions
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience relevant experience in program management, production or product management
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent teamwork, team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
- Experience driving delivery of cross-functional programs in alignment with functional roadmaps and strategic priorities
- Familiarity with project tracking software (e.g. Google Sheets, Airtable, MS Project, Trello, JIRA, Smartsheets)
- Experience managing partnerships across language and culture
- Experience effectively managing a diverse group of stakeholders across multiple companies and geographies (Tencent & Riot preferred)
- Ability to timeshift schedule as needed for calls with Tencent
- Availability for at minimum quarterly travel to China to build strong relationships with Tencent and Riot Shanghai counterparts
- Experience implementing and improving process best practices
- Fluent in Mandarin
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous program experience in a large decentralized organization
- Experience with project methodologies like Scrum & Agile
- Experience leading change management on large-scale programs
- Experience taking games from development to launched
- 3+ years of game development experience
- Bachelor's degree
