Summary:
The Project Manager at our Construction company is a pivotal leader in our construction management team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of construction processes, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage a complex, multiphase project. The Project Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring that all project objectives are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and use of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish clear project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Oversee and manage all project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings, providing clear communication of project status, milestones, and any changes to stakeholders.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all agreements are met, and disputes are resolved efficiently.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure that work is being performed according to plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that all work meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
- Mentor and guide project teams, including Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and financial performance.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of project management processes, tools, and best practices within the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong preference for experience in public sector projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Proficiency in construction management software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
- 115,000 to 150,000.00
