POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of build-to-print manufacturing projects from initiation through delivery. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external customers, ensuring specifications, timelines, and quality standards are met. A successful Project Manager will efficiently manage project cost, schedule, and performance utilizing available personnel and processes. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for everything involving a project’s contractual requirements, organization, and timeline.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Execution | 90%
Core Competency: Organization
- Support the execution of build-to-print projects by coordinating tasks, schedules, and deliverables in alignment with customer requirements.
- Actively maintain responsibility and accountability for the cost, schedule, and performance of all build-to-print projects
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all relevant project management activities, including both internal and external communication, coordination, and documentation
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and escalate issues to Program Management leadership as needed.
- Track milestones and manage task completion using project management software or Excel-based tracking tools.
- Help ensure material procurement, part fabrication, assembly, and delivery stay on schedule by utilizing appropriate communication strategies and project tracking applications
- Prepare project documentation, including status reports, timelines, and customer updates.
- Maintain accurate project records and help update project databases.
- Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
- Participate in kickoff meetings, design reviews, manufacturing check-ins, and others as needed to ensure the successful execution of project schedules.

- Communicate with company leadership, managers, and supervisors as necessary to keep projects aligned with goals and deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift light loads as necessary.
- Ability to operate in a clerical setting, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in project coordination and/or management, manufacturing, or engineering support.
- A strong ability to handle multiple projects at once in a dynamic, fast-paced environment alongside a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
- A demonstrated ability to successfully plan cost, schedule, and performance of projects
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and personalities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient In Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Project management experience in the fields of aviation and engineering
- Experience with DOD contracts and the aerospace defense industry
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and production scheduling
- Familiarity with MS Project
- Experience with Independent Research & Development (IR&D) projects.
- A demonstrated ability to achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
Subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A SECRET, TS, or TS/SCI clearance may be required.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or similar technical discipline.
- PMP Certification (or U.S. Military equivalent) preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
