About the Role:
Our Project Manager works alongside the Operations Team, suppliers, subcontractors, and office staff. The Project Manager is responsible for multiple construction projects ranging from $25,000 to $7,000,000.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead planning meetings with Glaziers to ensure materials and equipment are acquired in a timely manner before project start using PO and administrative systems
- Communicate with Glaziers on daily project progress
- Manages issues and concerns, ensures quality, and drives project for on-time project completion
- Understand the labor budget including breakdown by task, updating budgets, and assisting with progress billing
- Create or purchase the submittals and gain product and method approvals
- Manage and maintain schedules for multiple projects and regularly visit project sites
- Maintain project binder and computer files
- Ensure excellent company reputation throughout the completion of the project
- Directly supervise Project Coordinator
- Other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 3 years of glass and glazing industry experience
- 1 year of project management experience
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm with occasional overtime
- Travel 50% of the time (in state travel with mileage reimbursement)
- Strong time management skills
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Work independently and on a team
- Reliable with good work ethic
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with co-workers, site supervisors, and customers
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and customer focus
- Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
- Able to spend long periods of time sitting or standing
- Able to spend long periods of time using a computer
- Able to safely navigate job sites and adhere to safety standards
- Able to use office equipment such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, filing cabinets, etc.
