Compensation: $100,000-$110,000
Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction, remodeling, and environmental compliance projects to meet technical, scheduling, and financial objectives. This role manages relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders while ensuring adherence to project management standards and regulatory requirements. A strong emphasis is placed on environmental oversight across facilities, including stormwater, wastewater, and clean water compliance.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement project management plans and execution processes
- Oversee environmental monitoring at 11 facilities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle: permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, turnover, and closeout
- Lead environmental initiatives such as permit modifications (e.g., NPDES, ODA)
- Track and report environmental performance metrics, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Manage consulting engineers, vendors, and contractors
- Install and maintain environmental monitoring equipment (e.g., samplers, flow monitors, rain gauges)
- Maintain quality control, cost forecasting, and project schedules
- Serve as liaison between internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Drive enforcement of safety protocols on construction sites
- Prepare and deliver project reports and environmental documentation to leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in construction project management
- Strong understanding of environmental permitting and compliance (wastewater, stormwater, clean water)
- Familiarity with construction scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to travel regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid U.S. driver's license with satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Experience with LEED or sustainable building practices
- Experience operating heavy industrial or construction equipment
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, especially NPDES
Work Environment
This position combines office work with on-site presence at various construction and agricultural facilities. It requires travel and flexibility, especially during active construction or regulatory reporting periods. On-site work may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
