We are seeking a meticulous and initiative-taking Purchasing/Expediting Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process, ensuring that our inventory levels are maintained efficiently and effectively.
Previous work history involving supply chain, NetSuite ERP software, or general administrative retail support a plus.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine purchasing support activities
- Communicating with vendors to ensure production and availability of products
- Monitoring of open purchase orders for fulfillment
- Following up with vendors to confirm delivery time-frame and transit schedules
- Addressing customer inquiries regarding product availability via phone & email
- Assisting with order entry
- Outgoing shipment review, verification, and related processing
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team & support staff to accomplish goals
Qualifications and Requirements
- Business or related bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Outlook and Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, VBA etc.)
- Must be a creative analytical person with a can-do attitude
