Superior Fence & Rail is seeking a driven and strategic Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead material procurement and inventory operations across our three Ohio locations: Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

Key Responsibilities
- Procurement: Execute the procurement process for all three locations—Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati—including vendor communication, quote requests, purchase order creation, and order tracking.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate pricing and terms.
- Inventory Oversight: Manage inventory levels, transfers, and replenishment cycles. Implement control systems to minimize overstock, shortages, and waste.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with sales and operations teams to coordinate material deliveries, take-offs, and ensure timely receipt of products.
- Audit & Accuracy: Monitor and audit bill of materials, shipments, and receipts.
- Costing & Pricing Management: Maintain and regularly update internal pricing catalogs based on accurate bills of materials and current vendor pricing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support sales efforts by assisting with material take-offs and ensuring materials are sourced efficiently to support winning bids.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procurement and inventory workflows through better systems, automation, or vendor programs.
- Data & Reporting: Track purchasing KPIs, costs, and inventory metrics to support data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations (construction industry preferred)
- Proven negotiation skills and familiarity with vendor relations and procurement best practices
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interpreting construction specifications
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, and/or project management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative mindset and professional demeanor
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
