The QA Technician provides key support for the QA department, including environmental monitoring, product testing, monitoring of quality and sanitation, and other duties as assigned. The technician performs data entry and collection, project assistance, filing, internal auditing, employee training, and calibrating of laboratory and production testing equipment. The QA technician will primarily work at the Country Morning Farms plant in Warden, and will also inspect and audit CMF dairy facilities in Othello and Warden.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of liability insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Familiarity with office software (email, documents, spreadsheets, presentations)
- Ability to understand and implement operating instructions and procedures for lab instruments
- 1-2 years of experience as a QA technician is preferred
- Technician will be required to complete HACCP and SQF Practitioner training upon hiring

Responsibilities
General Quality Control
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices for production of safe food
- Conduct internal audits
- Monitor quality and sanitation across multiple dairy and production facilities
- Keep laboratory clean, stocked, and organized
- Perform root cause analysis and document corrective actions for problems with product or facility
- Perform regular calibrations of lab equipment and thermometers
- Conduct training meetings with plant employees regarding food safety and good manufacturing practices
- Creation and organization of electronic and written records
Sampling and Testing
- Test products for physical and microbial properties
- Approve products for final packaging and distribution
- Keep accurate records of laboratory results
- Create and send Certificates of Analysis
- Perform ATP tests of food-contact surfaces
- Conduct environmental monitoring tests, and supervise corrective actions when necessary
