Quality Assurance Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
Takes and handles complaints including Serious Reportable Incidents (SRIs). Assists the Human Resources and Operations Departments by maintaining and enhancing the organization's files and processes with a focus on SRIs and HR operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in office work, filing, contacting customers and employees.
- Previous experience in Home Health Care preferred. Experience in TBI/NHTD Waiver programs and SRI (Serious Reportable Incidents) process preferred.
- Computer skills a plus including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, QuickBooks.
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and adheres to established FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures.
- Helps maintain organization staff by learning and understanding processes and procedures related to Human Resources.
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by fulfilling The New York State regulations including Department of Health Criminal History Record Checks, CHRC permissions and other DOH requirements as well as the NYS Department of labor requirements.
- Answers phones delivering excellent customer service and helps callers particularly with Human Resources issues but also with Billing, Scheduling and Accounts payable questions.
- Assists with legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
- Maintains historical human resource records.
- Assists in orientation and training.
- Participate in the quality assurance reviews and evaluations of the agency’s services
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Works indoors in FirstLight Home Care office and travels to/from prospective employee interviews or recruitment events as appropriate.

- Supervised by: Operations Manager.
