Job Summary
A core component of our mission at Come and See is to grow our base of financial supporters (individuals, families, organizations, foundations) who are compelled by our mission to reach a billion people with The Chosen series so that they can experience the authentic Jesus. The mission of the Come and See Foundation has four objectives: Ensure completion of all seven seasons of The Chosen, translate the series into 600 languages, make The Chosen globally accessible, and keep the series forever free.
The person filling this role will play a key role in fulfilling our objectives, which require raising more than $250M over the next 5 years. In order to accomplish our mission, we are developing a strong and effective fundraising program that engages supporters at every giving level in our mission. The person in this critical role will be responsible for growing our base of major givers ($10K+) who desire to partner with us in our global mission. This role will focus on building long-term relationships with supporters and prospects who believe in our mission and desire to expand the message of the gospel throughout the world through the reach of The Chosen.
Specifically, this position will need to focus on proactively identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts to the Come and See Foundation. This is the #1 mission-critical component of this role. This ambitious task will be done in partnership with the Chief Development Officer and fundraising team. This role will build and manage a portfolio of approximately 125+ donors and prospects and actively cultivate and solicit gifts above $10,000 with an annual production goal of $3M within their specific portfolio (after 12-18 months of relational development).
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Solicitation
- Maintain a portfolio of 125 major gift supporters and identified prospects with the goal of securing five- to six-figure+ gifts from fans, foundations and individuals / families.
- Meet annual production goals to raise $3M in major gifts (cash, stock, DAF, QCD, etc.) through individuals, organizations, and foundations, hitting key KPIs related to number of completed asks, delivered proposals, and closed gifts.
- Develop a strategy to grow the base of our major and principal givers by focusing on developing relationships with donors and donor prospects with giving potential of $10,000 and greater.
- Develop a strategy to increase the annual gift levels from current major donors with intentional stewardship and engagement. Establish an intentional, donor-centric “moves management” solicitation strategy with each unit in your portfolio, that leads to you effectively meeting or exceeding your annual revenue goals.
Prospecting & Identification
- Working alongside the Come and See prospect research team, identify donors among high-net worth families, christian business leaders, family foundations and DAF stewards who have capacity to make a major gift and develop a communication journey that brings them closer to the organization.
- Move donors from acquisition to solicitation by developing key relationships with individuals and organizations.
- Work with Prospect Research Manager to fill portfolio with constant cycle of new leads for prospecting. Work with Sr. Director of Marketing and Chief Development Officer to develop marketing materials that will aid in the cultivation and stewardship of our major supporters.

Fundraising Metrics
- Utilize BI (Virtuous Intelligence) to organize and manage your portfolio and to track progress towards fundraising goals. Proven ability to successfully build and execute a moves management strategy.

Travel
- Develop a travel and meeting strategy within Texas that engages these supporters to make a greater investment in Come and See.
- Arrange travel schedule to meet with donors on set during production filming.
- Facilitate 1x1 meetings with supporters to cultivate and solicit major gifts.
- Travel domestically for key Come and See events to engage donor community. Work with the Development team to plan boutique regional events (IE: screeners, etc.) that engage fans and supporters in the mission of Come and See and provide value to them.

Come and See Ambassador
- Serve as an ambassador of Come and See at events and meetings.
- Work with volunteers to expand the network of supporters to our mission.
- Engage our supporter base with spiritual support such as praying with donors, offering biblical encouragement, and communicating with theological depth.
- Be a student of the Come and See mission and The Chosen series and follow The Chosen social media to stay up to date on latest developments and offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with other members of the Come and See team and contribute to the broader mission, where most needed.

Education and Experience
- Required to be a seasoned fundraiser with 7-10 years of direct major gift solicitation experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Working Conditions: This is a full-time position (40+ hours per week) primarily performed in an indoor office setting. The role may be based remotely in the Dallas-Ft.Worth or Houston, TX region, with travel expected.
