Regional Director of Clinical Compliance
Key Responsibilities
The Regional Director of Clinical Compliance is responsible for the overall clinical aspects of the assigned communities including supervising community leadership as well as coaching to licensed nurses and other direct care staff within the communities you oversee. Also ensures the assigned communities comply with corporate policies and federal/state regulations.
Reports to: Regional Director of Operations
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of community-based nurses and care associates.
- Assigns and directs work of subordinates including performance reviews and corrective actions.
- Provides and implements training and education to care associates on an ongoing basis with in- services and other one on one trainings.
- Ensures resident charts, evaluations, assessments and care plans are complete and reviews documentation performed by all care staff.
- Ensures the overall care of residents is meeting company and state standards.
- Performs random audits on medication carts to ensure best practices and company standards are being followed.
- Ensure that community leadership is properly evaluating residents and subsequently documents changes in condition and notifies the appropriate parties per company policy.
- Communicates with physicians regarding residents' status and condition changes. Ensures residents are prepared for physician appointments, and visits.
- Facilitates continuity of care for those residents receiving home health care, hospice services, and other third party healthcare- related services.
- Participates in or leads meetings relevant to resident care issues, such as Service Plan meetings, involving appropriate parties as needed.
- Ensures in-house ancillary medical services such as podiatrist, doctor visits, dental visits, psych visits, lab, X-ray, ambulance, etc. are scheduled and followed through.
- Participates in department quality improvement activities.
- Provides training and resources to monitor and assure infection control protocols are being followed, assist and monitor communities infection control tracking and monitor for trends.
- Assist with communication and prompt relay of information to and from families, while assuring resident best interest are being met.
- Communicates effectively with Director of Clinical Compliance all 30 day notices for discharge to include all steps placed to prevent such actions, monitoring and communicating all state reportable incidents, Facilitate state survey inspections.
- Assist in training and recruiting Wellness Directors for communities and setting them up for success.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid LPN or RN license.
- Position requires extensive travel and overnight while working normal business hours and during events unforeseen such as pandemics and natural disasters.
