About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Regional Finance Manager – Southeast Asia to lead and develop the Finance function across the region.

This is a senior finance leadership role responsible for overseeing financial reporting and analysis, project finance, commercial finance, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and business performance. You will work closely with regional and global leaders, operational teams, project managers, and other key stakeholders to provide financial insight and support sound commercial decision-making.

The role will also lead a team of finance professionals while driving continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, controls, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and review of regional financial, commercial, and project performance reports.
  • Drive annual budgets, forecasts, reforecasts, and financial planning activities across the region.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Monitor overhead expenditure, project performance, utilisation, lock-up, and other key financial indicators.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools supporting forecasting and management decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance Business Partners, Project Managers, Country Managers, and regional leadership on financial and commercial matters.
  • Identify underperforming areas and lead business improvement and cost-recovery initiatives.
  • Support due diligence activities for potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, systems, internal controls, taxation requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Support audit requirements and ensure timely and accurate responses to financial and compliance queries.
  • Oversee project and opportunity setup, financial administration, and timely closure.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the region.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team, including workforce planning, performance management, succession, and capability development.
  • Drive process and system improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, and financial governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA are highly regarded.
  • Significant experience in a senior Finance leadership role within a corporate or multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing Finance teams.
  • Strong background in:
    • Financial planning and analysis

    • Taxation and audit processes
  • Strong understanding of accounting practices and financial management systems.
