Position Summary
As our Regional Operations Manager, you will work with cutting-edge technology and play an important role as we expand to farms across California’s Central Coast. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable innovation, loves solving new and exciting problems, is detail-oriented, and works well in a team. Our Regional Operations Manager will oversee nightly treatment operations, support robot maintenance, and help manage manufacturing tasks. This role is critical to keeping our field operations running smoothly and ensuring high-quality performance from both our robots and operators.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Operations
- Schedule operator shifts and ensure all treatments are completed as planned.
- Maintain clear communication with grower and spray teams to coordinate nightly work.
- Reassign operators as needed to match updated spray schedules or field priorities.
- Support training and onboarding of nighttime operations team members.
- Check in regularly with operators during shifts to monitor treatment quality.
- Keep detailed records of any robot issues and operator calls that occur during the night.
- Be available on call to assist with basic troubleshooting and reduce downtime.
- Keep all treatment documentation accurate and up to date.
- Provide treatment updates to daytime teams.
- Ensure all field supplies are delivered and ready for use.
Robot Maintenance
- Schedule regular maintenance and repair tasks with the technician team.
- Assist technicians with robot diagnostics and repairs as needed.
- Track and organize robot parts inventory to ensure availability for ongoing maintenance.
- Manage Robot fueling schedule to ensure all robots are ready for treatment.
Manufacturing Support
- Manage and organize inventory for new robot components.
- Schedule operator labor for part assembly and manufacturing-related tasks.
- Oversee operators work to ensure quality and consistency during builds.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2-4 years of experience in field operations, team coordination, or logistics
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working night shifts and being on call for support
- Basic technical or mechanical aptitude (e.g., troubleshooting hardware, following repair instructions)
- Experience managing schedules and adapting to dynamic priorities
- This role requires a midday start time to provide overlap between the daytime and nighttime teams. Night and weekend availability is expected
Preferred:
- Experience in agriculture, robotics, or a related technical field
- Familiarity with inventory systems or maintenance tracking tools
- Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
Total Compensation
- Salary starting at $70,000; based on experience
