About Us:
We are a South American concept kitchen located in downtown, serving homestyle dishes that celebrate the rich culinary traditions of Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in English is essential; being bilingual is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Latin cuisine.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and technical precision.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately.
- Process credit card payments and make change.
- Use a point of sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries.
- Greet customers warmly and promptly.
- Take accurate customer orders and relay them to the kitchen.
- Upsell additional menu items, such as desserts and drinks.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu and ingredients.
- Perform side work and deep cleaning as needed.
- Stand for long periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a high school diploma.
- Has experience in similar positions and a working knowledge of the role.
- Exhibits strong mathematical, multitasking, and computer skills.
- Is proficient in using computers, calculators, and other transaction-related equipment.
- Demonstrates excellent customer relations skills and fosters a customer-first culture.
- Can work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
