To support this mission, we’re hiring a compassionate, customer-focused Retail Representative fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) to join our front-of-house team.
Overview:
As an ASL-Fluent Retail Representative, you’ll provide exceptional service to customers, especially those who are Deaf or hard of hearing. You’ll assist guests with product education, order fulfillment, and ensure every customer receives the personalized attention they deserve. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about cannabis, communication, and inclusive service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, respectful, and accessible manner
- Communicate effectively with Deaf and hard-of-hearing customers using ASL
- Educate customers on product offerings, usage, effects, and compliance regulations
- Guide customers through the purchasing process and answer product-related questions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor and checkout area
- Ensure accurate transaction processing and assist with online or in-store pickup orders
- Collaborate with team members to improve overall customer experience and accessibility
- Stay up to date on product knowledge, compliance rules, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) – this is the core requirement
- Passion for cannabis and a desire to help people find the right products
- Previous retail, dispensary, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Must be 21+ and eligible to work in a licensed cannabis facility
- Willingness to learn cannabis regulations and compliance procedures
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
