Position Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of medical claims, follow-up on unpaid claims, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. You will also manage patient billing inquiries and denials, ensuring optimal reimbursement for services provided.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services.
- Code diagnoses and procedures accurately and submit insurance claims.
- Manage claim rejections and denials, escalating when necessary.
- Ensure timely payment posting and follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Assist patients with billing inquiries and offer payment plan solutions.
- Generate reports and track performance metrics related to revenue cycle activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare billing and coding.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related billing role.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and healthcare insurance guidelines.
- Experience with EHR software and Revenue Cycle Management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
