Position Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new commercial HVAC and refrigeration business opportunities. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in expanding market share. This position works on-site and includes a competitive base salary with monthly and annual bonuses tied to performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new business opportunities in target markets, including lead generation and prospecting.
- Build relationships with property managers, general contractors, facility directors, and other key decision-makers.
- Schedule and conduct sales meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, operations, and service) to develop proposals and bid packages.
- Track sales activity, pipeline status, and client communications using CRM software.
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and promote the brand.
- Maintain a deep understanding of company services, capabilities, and competitive advantages in the HVAC-R market.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience (HVAC/Refrigeration or commercial services preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- HVAC industry knowledge is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
