Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. This role requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a kitchen setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer orders accurately.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Perform regular cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to help team members as needed.
