Admiral Metals is a full service metal recycling company. We’re committed to providing top-tier service and competitive pricing in the scrap metal industry. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Scrap Metal Scale Buyer to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Scale Buyer is responsible for weighing, grading, and purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous metals from customers at our facility. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers daily while providing exceptional customer service.
- Accurately weigh and grade incoming metal using digital scales and industry standards.
- Identify and classify various types of scrap metal.
- Ensure transactions are recorded properly and all documentation is complete.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the scale and throughout the non-ferrous warehouse.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in scrap metal buying or recycling preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Ability to operate forklift and various small equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in an outdoor fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
