Summary
We are seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at Speak Speech Therapy in Houston, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our clients' insurance information is accurately verified and processed, allowing our therapists to focus on delivering high-quality care. You will also be cross trained to assist with Human Resources and Onboarding of new teammates.
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for clients prior to service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance information and client eligibility.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to claims.
- Assist with medical coding and ensure compliance with ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
- Collaborate with therapists and administrative staff to streamline the billing process.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance policies and regulations affecting client care.
- Support scheduling and all other administrative functions in office.
Requirements
- Proven experience in insurance verification or medical billing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical coding practices and terminology (ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and insurance representatives.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Familiarity with managed care processes is a plus.
