Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Communications Manager (or Director, subject to qualifications) to join the Seminary Now team. This role will support our mission to provide high-quality digital theological education by executing a variety of marketing and communication tasks that foster partnerships, strengthen relationships with teachers, support course launches, and drive growth.
The Communications Manager will play a key role in content creation, partnership engagement, and marketing execution while ensuring timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for faith-based education, a strong work ethic, and the ability to balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines with excellence.

Reports to: Executive Director of Seminary Now
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Marketing Execution
- Create marketing materials, landing pages, blogs, and promotional content that highlight courses, faculty, and events.
- Maintain a communications calendar for internal and external channels.
- Create and send emails for 3 different products with variations for audience sub-segments.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital and print platforms.
- Execute marketing campaigns (internal and external) for course launches, seasonal events (e.g., Lent, Advent), and webinars.
- Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess effectiveness and inform improvements.
Partnership, Teacher, and Ambassador Engagement
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with Seminary Now teachers to support consistent promotion and visibility of courses.
- Develop and coordinate marketing efforts with partners to drive awareness, engagement, lead generation, and conversion.
- Help craft partnership copy, including co-branded emails, promotional materials, and social posts.
- Manage brand ambassadors to ensure brand visibility and growth.
Course Launch Support
- Coordinate and execute marketing strategies for new course launches.
- Work closely with faculty and content creators to develop promotional assets.
- Monitor course performance post-launch and adjust marketing tactics as needed.
Social Media Management
- Create and schedule engaging posts, stories, and reels across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X).
- Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster an online community.
- Monitor analytics to assess performance and optimize engagement strategies.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the marketing team, broader Seminary Now team, and external partners to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.
- Attend regular meetings to brainstorm and refine engagement strategies.
Required Skills and Abilities

- Passion for theological education and understanding of Seminary Now’s mission.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred but not required.
- Communications experience preferred.
- Proficiency in (or ability to learn) marketing tools for social media (e.g., Hootsuite), email (e.g., Hubspot).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus.
Work Environment
Hybrid (Lisle, IL) or remote.
