Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States can be found in the JOB INFO section below. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a Senior Data Analyst!
As a Sr Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets. Your primary goal is to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help drive business decisions. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations based on your findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead creative solution design to the data project functional requirements defined by the business including any ingestion and data engineering work that may be required before the analysis and visualization execution.
- Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets from various sources.
- Develop and maintain advanced databases and data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Use advanced statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in data sets.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
- Lead data governance practices and assist data engineering to understand needs of data projects across the business
- Follow business systems analyst’s lead to execute project lifecycle tasks through iterative project management.
- Participate in cross-functional IT meetings to best design software and data projects that complement and best support the business requirements
- Mentor and guide junior data analysts
What you’ll Need To Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and visualization
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and software (e.g., Databricks, SQL, Excel, Python, R).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience in leading data-driven projects and mentoring junior analysts.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Data Management, or a related field
- Microsoft certifications
- Databricks
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience in leadership or supervisory role within a team.
