The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Manager - Employee Relations to provide HR support and guidance as well as continuously develop and implement human resource plans, programs and policies to ensure the human capital issues are aligned with the organizational goals in addition to providing human resource support to the Business Unit.

Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of Supervisory Management experience required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Senior role in Human Resources Management, including employee relations responsibilities.

Mandatory

Skills

  • Significant experience in a fast-paced role, preferably with a multi-stranded, global focus
  • Exceptional initiative, with the ability to extract information and work autonomously when required
  • A strong sense of urgency and ownership, with a high level of confidentiality
  • Preferred experience in high-volume, call center recruitment.
  • Experience in a call center environment is a plus, but not required.

Roles &

Responsibilities

  • Schedule disciplinary hearings and ensure that invitation and outcome letters are sent out in a timely manner
  • Process employee separation in the HRIS
  • Prepare employee separation letters based on outcomes from disciplinary hearings
  • Approve leaves (unpaid sick, leave of absence, maternity, bereavement, and jury duty) for eligible employees in the HRIS
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and guidance to supervisors, and employees regarding laws, regulations policies and procedures, and practices related to employee relations matters to ensure compliance and company-wide consistency
  • Conducts investigations (both formal and informal) and inquiries, provides consultations and guidance, and recommends outcomes to resolve employee relations issues, with a key focus on maintaining a positive employee experience
  • Provides recommendations and input for policy changes and responsibility to monitor and enforce the consistent application of policy
  • Partners with Operations, Recruiting, Business Learning and Organization Development to ensure the effective delivery of services
  • Employee counseling referrals should be acknowledged and scheduled within 24 hours, and the tracker updated
  • Executing staff onboarding activities - NEO
  • Complete trackers for weekly submission

a) Grievance, Disciplinary and Issues-Resolutions tracker

b) Job abandonment and Attrition tracker

c) Counselling referrals

  • Execute ways to Increase employee engagement, such as determined by department guidelines
  • Maintain and track issues/incidents based on OSHA requirements
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
