About the role
We are seeking an experienced enterprise technology, software and application based Senior IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives across our portfolio. Working within a highly regulated utilities environment, you will manage end-to-end project delivery across Network, Delivery and Major Projects business units, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will partner with senior business leaders, technology teams and delivery partners to drive project success while navigating a complex governance framework. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned project professional who enjoys delivering business-critical technology outcomes and influencing stakeholders at all levels
What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved within scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.
- Develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and oversee project risks, issues and dependencies to drive successful delivery outcomes.
- Lead governance and reporting activities, including project status updates, steering committee engagement and executive communications.
- Build strong relationships across Technology, business stakeholders and delivery partners, providing leadership and fostering collaboration in a matrix environment.
- Ensure projects adhere to delivery frameworks, governance standards and assurance requirements while driving continuous improvement, quality and accountability across the project lifecycle.
What you'll bring
- Extensive experience as an IT Project Manager with a proven track record delivering complex technology projects in large scale environments.
- Demonstrated expertise managing projects through the full lifecycle using Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Strong understanding of project governance, scheduling, financial management, risk management and delivery assurance practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and executives
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver successful business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Highly regarded
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
- Agile certifications such as SAFe, Scrum Master, AgilePM or equivalent.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
