Job description

Are you passionate about delivering hands-on technical service excellence while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every customer interaction? Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.

As our new Service Engineer, you'll be managing end-to-end workshop and field work service activities — from pump inspection and fault analysis to repair, testing, and customer delivery — that ensure our customers receive reliable, high-quality service solutions. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Service Delivery team, you'll create impact by ensuring pumps are expertly diagnosed, repaired, and returned to customers with first-class quality, while championing a strong safety culture across all service operations.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Receive, register, and conduct risk assessments on returned pumps, performing cleaning per EHS sanitary requirements before inspection
  • Carry out fault analysis, warranty qualification, repair, and performance testing of pumps in the workshop, reporting warranty cases in FAS and quality issues in QIP
  • Prepare quotations for non-warranty repairs, process service orders, and deliver professional repair reports to customers upon completion
  • Maintain workshop equipment through regular calibration, upgrades, and workplace inspections with a focus on health and safety compliance
  • Handle merchant returns, process warranty documentation, and manage credit notes for returned pumps
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, service partners, and stakeholders to ensure service delivery exceeds expectations

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you're a technically skilled professional with a hands-on approach to workshop and field work service, a strong safety mindset, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences. We'd also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field)
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a service, repair, or workshop environment
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Fluency in the local language

It's a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with pump technology, rotating equipment, or water infrastructure products
  • Knowledge of health and safety management practices and risk assessment procedures
  • Experience managing business processes in a service delivery environment

Why you'll love working here

Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • Annual bonus, health insurance, retirement benefit, and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering.
  • On-demand training and structured development programmes to support your growth.

Valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds. As part of our commitment to a safe and compliant hiring process, final candidates may be required to undergo a background check, subject to applicable local laws and regulations.

The story of Grundfos began in 1945 in a small cellar in Bjerringbro, Denmark, where founder Poul Due Jensen established a company originally named 'Bjerringbro Pressestøberi og Maskinfabrik' (Bjerringbro Die-Casting and Machine Factory). Driven by a personal need to pump water for his own farm, Jensen created his first pump, setting in motion a journey of relentless innovation. What started as a modest local operation quickly evolved as the company pioneered new technologies, including the first circulator pump, which revolutionized the heating industry. In 1967, the company officially adopted the name Grundfos, a nod to one of its early products. Over the decades, Grundfos expanded far beyond the Danish borders, growing into a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology. Today, the company is owned by the Grundfos Foundation, a structure that ensures long-term independence and a steadfast commitment to its core purpose: pioneering solutions to the world's water and climate challenges. With a presence in over 60 countries, Grundfos continues to push the boundaries of energy efficiency and sustainability, improving the quality of life for people around the world.
