Where You Will Work
Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.
Job Responsibilities
· Contact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements
· Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment, including packing & labeling.
· Records shipment data, including weight, dimensions and serial numbers, as well as additional data required for shipments.
· Ability to operate forklift in accordance to safety and operational compliance.
· Check in and distribute non-inventory items to appropriate personnel or department in a timely manner.
· Work both individually and as part of a team to maximize productivity, efficiency and quality.
· Make necessary verifications against documents and prepare the merchandise for other departments and handle customer pick-ups
· Work and communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external personnel.
· Pack, seal and label parts for shipments
· Unpack materials and parts and deliver them to the Quality department for inspection.
· Identify and maintain traceability of serial numbers
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience : 6 months or more of Shipping and Receiving experience
Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge: Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes; Knowledge of 5S principles including the ability to apply them to the work environment; Knowledge of procedures for safely lifting and/or moving packages up to 20 pounds in weight
Skills/Abilities:
- Detail and data orientation
- Effective process evaluation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal customers
- Ability to accurately count and identify parts and verify with paper work
- Ability to work well in a team setting and under immediate supervision
