We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and tracking outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining a smooth and efficient shipping process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements
- Verify orders against shipping documents for accuracy
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickup and delivery of goods
- Maintain shipping records and update tracking information in company systems
- Communicate with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers regarding shipments
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments when necessary
- Keep shipping area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
- Basic computer skills; experience with shipping software or ERP systems a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.10 - $26.60 per hour
