Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of order fulfillment processes and inventory management systems.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies or damages.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders according to specifications.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP software to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
- Operate forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate the efficient handling of materials within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy in stock records.
Skills
- Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP software; experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of e-commerce operations is beneficial.
- Experience using RF scanners for tracking inventory is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.96 - $27.65 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
