Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center. You will ensure accurate order fulfillment, maintain inventory levels, and support overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping and receiving processes, as well as familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them appropriately.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and update the warehouse management system.
- Operate pallet jacks and reach trucks to move products within the warehouse.
- Assist in order picking and fulfillment to meet customer demands.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments.
- Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in shipping and receiving processes within a distribution center environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400.
- Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and other departments.
