Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various warehouse equipment, ensuring efficient operations and accurate inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them appropriately.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, cherry pickers, and order pickers to move materials safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular counts and updates in the inventory management system.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure timely processing of orders and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required to facilitate loading and unloading of goods.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area.
Experience
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role within a distribution center is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $20.64 - $21.57 per hour
