Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sidewalk Maintenance Worker to help keep sidewalks, pathways, and building entrances safe and clear during the winter season. This position involves snow removal, ice control, and general upkeep of walking areas in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Shovel snow from sidewalks, walkways, and building entrances.
- Spread salt, sand, or de-icing materials to prevent slips and falls.
- Maintain equipment in good working order.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly during snow or ice events.
- Ensure walkways are safe for pedestrians at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and carry heavy snow.
- Willingness to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in snow removal or grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of safe snow and ice removal techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
