Videographer & Social Media Reel Editor (1099 Contractor)

Core Responsibilities

• On-site Property Videography: Capture high-quality video footage of real estate properties (interiors, exteriors, specific features) using professional-grade equipment. This includes understanding optimal angles, lighting, and composition to showcase properties effectively.
• Creative Reel Production: Conceptualize, shoot, and edit engaging and viral-potential social media reels (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikToks) specifically tailored for real estate listings and agent branding. This involves incorporating current social media trends, effective storytelling, and dynamic editing techniques.
• Real Estate Agent Branding Videos: Produce dedicated video content focused on enhancing a real estate agent's personal brand. These videos will require the inclusion of specific disclaimers to ensure compliance with real estate licensing regulations.
• Post-Production Editing: Edit raw video footage into polished, professional videos and social media reels. This includes color grading, audio mixing, adding graphics/text overlays, music selection, and motion graphics as needed.
• Collaboration with JPG Media: Work closely with JPG Media to understand project requirements, client branding, and desired outcomes for each real estate agent and property.
• Content Optimization: Ensure all video and reel content is optimized for various social media platforms, including appropriate aspect ratios, resolutions, and file sizes.

• Reel Engagement Rates: Metrics like views, likes, comments, shares, and saves on social media reels.

Resources & Support Provided by JPG Media

• Event Creation & Booking: JPG Media will be responsible for creating events and booking appointments with real estate agents for videography shoots.
• Project Briefs: Clear briefs and creative direction for each project, including specific disclaimer requirements for branding videos.
• Client Liaison: JPG Media will handle direct communication with real estate agents regarding scheduling and initial project scope.
• Copyright Management: JPG Media will manage all copyright aspects, as this is a "work for hire" position, ensuring all content privacy guidelines related to real estate sales and listings are met.

Contractor Requirements

• Own Equipment: Must own and maintain professional-grade videography and editing equipment (camera, lenses, audio gear, lighting, computer, software licenses).
• Liability Insurance: Recommended to carry general liability insurance as a 1099 contractor.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to travel to various property locations across Central Ohio.
• Availability: Flexible availability to accommodate varied shooting schedules as determined by booked appointments.
• Contractual Agreement: All contractors will be required to sign a comprehensive contract that includes a non-disclosure clause. This clause will cover proprietary information, including but not limited to client information, to maintain confidentiality and protect business interests.

Copyright & Work-for-Hire Clause

• All work produced by the contractor under this agreement (including raw footage, edited videos, and social media reels) shall be considered "work for hire."
• JPG Media will retain all copyrights to the produced content, ensuring compliance with privacy guidelines related to real estate sales and listings. The contractor will not retain any ownership rights or ability to use the content for purposes other than fulfilling the scope of work for JPG Media.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
