Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Spray Painter - 1st Shift.
The hours for this role are 6:00am - 2:30pm
The hourly rate for this position is $27.38 per hour.

What you’ll do:
The Spray Painter is responsible for sprays and/or brushes paints for all types of finishes; applies prime, semi-finish and finish coats using paints, lacquers, enamels, varnishes, undercoats, etc., on a variety of surfaces, checking painted/coated parts against job specifications for a variety of life support, air-to-air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems.
In this function you will:
- Obtain job specifications from a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, engineering specs, and written and oral instructions
- Mix paints, lacquers, and varnishes for correct viscosity
- Perform visual inspection of all material prior to painting
- Operate a baking oven and monitor temperatures and bake cycle times
- Plugs and masks work as required
- Clean brushes and spray guns
- Use all tools and fixtures necessary for the performance of tasks
- Perform routine equipment maintenance
- All other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution is required
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). - Must demonstrate proficiency in job-related painting techniques
- Must be able to apply paints and other coatings to a variety of surfaces, using spray guns and/or brushes
- Must be able to obtain job specifications by reading blueprints, engineering specifications and written instructions
- Must demonstrate proficiency in correctly mixing various paints, lacquers, varnishes; plugging and masking work, and loading and unloading drying and baking ovens
- Must be able to use all tools and fixtures necessary for job completion
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions when performing job duties
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work with limited supervision
