Position Purpose: The Student Affairs Administrative Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors at the integrated service hub located in the new Bolick Center. This hub supports multiple departments within the Student Affairs Division. Key responsibilities include answering phones and directing inquiries, welcoming guests to the building, and scheduling appointments for students.
The position also provides evening administrative support to students, staff, and adjunct faculty teaching courses that begin after 5:00 p.m. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will offer general administrative and clerical support for the division, including assistance with Student Affairs initiatives, programs, and events.
- Provide direct services to current and potential credit and non-credit students, including admissions, enrollment, and records support.
- Respond to phone messages and emails with promptness.
- Participate in student outreach and calling campaigns.
- Schedule student appointments with Student Affairs staff as well as other college personnel.
- Disseminate division and college information accurately.
- Positively greet students, potential students, and visitors and serve as the first point of contact for the college.
- Respond to general college questions and concerns by current and potential students.
- Communicate concerns/issues to other college and division staff when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other divisions and departments on campus.
- Assist with the coordination of enrollment events, information sessions, and open houses.
- Reserve rooms for trainings and other programs.
- Assist other areas of Student Services with program administration through clerical and administrative support.
- Assist full-time and adjunct faculty after regular business hours, including providing administrative support.
- Provide support to students after regular business hours, including appointment scheduling and referrals to other college services.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
