Overview
We are currently hiring two NYC Filmmaking Teaching Artists and one Podcast Teaching Artist to lead dynamic, hands-on media workshops for high school students during our week-long summer program.
Duties
- Design and facilitate engaging workshops in filmmaking or podcasting
- Teach storytelling, production, and editing techniques
- Create a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment
- Guide students through the development of a short film or podcast project
- Coordinate with program staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in filmmaking or podcast production
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching or classroom experience with youth
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for youth development and media arts
- Punctual, professional, and team-oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
- A portfolio showcasing previous work in filmmaking or podcasting is required.
