Summary
we are looking to hire Full-time highly-skilled sushi chef to prepare sushi dishes in according with food health and safety regulations and restaurants standards.
Sushi Chef Responsibilities
- Expertly catting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.
- Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes and in forming the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard.
- Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
- Maintaining a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination.
- Regularly taking inventory of food supplies and order products.
- Reporting any problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
- Sterilizing all utensils, instruments and equipment used in sushi preparation before every use.
- Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special request and food allergy considerations are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service industry environment.
- Able to work with a team in a fast- paced environment.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Available to work 5-6 nights a week.
- Available to work on Sundays.
- Available to work overtime (morning shifts, weekends, holidays).
- Ability to follow instructions and follow recipes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and good work ethic.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- The ability to stand a long periods of time.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional customer services skill.
- Knowledge of food safety regulation.
