We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Architect – Archer Platform to join our team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA, United States – 4 Days a week.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop a roadmap for consolidating and simplifying existing applications, promoting standardization and eliminating unnecessary technologies and technical debt.
- Define the Archer target state architecture North Star focusing on application rationalization, resiliency, security, evergreen, CI/CD, data strategy and TCO.
- Lead the definition and high-level design of an architectural solution for Archer. Develop proof-of-concepts and explore alternatives to help pods to make architectural decisions; be involved in planning and budgeting activities.
- Provide guidance to technology teams and business partners in understanding the architectural options and technology choices that account for cost, risk, and time to delivery while leveraging strategic enterprise assets.
- Design and implement scalable architecture for the Archer Platform, reducing complexity and improving operational efficiency. Design a target state to move on to BNY Azure tenant and integrate applications into the BNY application landscape. Retire duplicate functionality.
- Integrate the Archer Platform with other BNY Platforms, including Wealth Management, Middle Office, and Foundational Services, extending the Archer offering to BNY entities. Integrate with BNY Platforms to reduce redundancy and leverage best of class applications.
- Focus on using AI to accelerate development and reduce TCO and allow for new feature development.
- Reduce Archer UDTs and design solutions leveraging BNY services and capabilities.
- Leverage the BNY Engineering platforms to promote standardization and efficiency.

- "Being More for our Clients" by enhancing our client offerings and integrating with external partners
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Advanced degree preferred
- 10-12 years of experience in technology and architecture roles, with experience in the securities or financial services industry a plus
