Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor and detail-oriented Pattern Maker to join our creative team to make garments in a cost effective timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of garment construction and making garments in a timely manner for cost efficiency. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality clothing such as Chanel, Dior, Valentino, focusing on using premium materials, meticulous tailoring techniques. Such as hand-stitching, intricate details like delicate trims and embellishments, and a classic, timeless design aesthetic, paying close attention to fit and quality control throughout the production process; essentially, mastering the art of couture sewing with a focus on clean lines and refined details that elevate the garment beyond basic construction. Must have a strong background in garment construction and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to fabricate and draft patterns for various clothing designs. This role is essential in ensuring that our designs are accurately translated into functional garments, contributing to the overall quality and fit of our products.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop patterns based on design specifications and sketches always looking for ways to help save money and time while enjoying your craft.
- Utilize sewing machines to construct sample garments for fitting and evaluation.
- Collaborate with designers to understand design intent and make necessary adjustments to patterns.
- Fabricate patterns using various materials, ensuring precision in measurements and fit in cost effective ways.
- Conduct fittings with models or dress forms to assess the accuracy of patterns and make modifications as needed.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available for pattern-making tasks.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to pattern making and garment construction.
Requirements
- Proficiency in sewing techniques and experience operating sewing machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to garment construction processes.
- Ability to draft patterns manually or using CAD software.
- Experience in machining or working with various fabric types is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for design accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Previous experience as a Pattern Maker or in a similar role is advantageous.

- Assist in garment construction as needed, including creating new pieces from scratch based on design specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished garments to ensure they meet the highest standards of craftsmanship.
- Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and techniques to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fashion retail or tailoring with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Proficiency in garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements accurately.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
