YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQ Administrative Services, you would help support the logistical and operational structure for TCEQ statewide -- the business foundation for the whole agency. See details about what we do. This position is a member of our Financial Administration Division. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING- Provide guidance and training related to the acquisition of goods, services, and equipment for programs of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Develop, plan, organize, and coordinate specifications to include best value criteria for commodities and services to meet customers’ needs. Prepare procurement documents as necessary.
- Assist agency program areas in planning, scheduling, and developing solicitation activities; prepare solicitation and procurement documents; review bids for completeness and compliance prior to the processing of invitation for bids; and maintain updated information regarding federal and state procurement laws.
- Develop and revise purchasing guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations as required. Provide training and guidance to the agency on procurement procedures and guidelines.
- Serve as liaison to all divisions and state and federal agencies. Attend monthly HUB meetings and CPA/SPD lecture series. Assist on an “on-call” basis for questions and/or emergencies.
- Ensure procurement files are well documented and appropriately maintained, and necessary information and documents are maintained in respective databases. Submit and review data as required for agency and state reporting.
Qualifications
KEY QUALIFICATIONS- Public sector procurement or contract experience -local, state, and/or federal
- Experience with Comptroller of Public Accounts/Statewide Procurement Division software: TxSmartBuy
