Job Function
As a Teaching Assistant at the Public Service Institute in the EMS program at a premier community college, you’ll be combining your professional experience with established program materials to assist in creating valuable learning opportunities for students attending the EMS Program.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist faculty in classroom activities.
- Demonstrate EMS skills and procedures to students
- Assist with student skills evaluations
- Prepare lab supplies, equipment and related materials.
- Inventory supplies as directed.
- Assist students with lab assignments.
- Maintain proper equipment and supply storage.
- Observe and interact with students during classroom activities.
- Provide student instruction/tutoring as directed by faculty.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
Current State of Michigan Basic EMT or Paramedic License required.
Qualifications
One year EMS related experience required, or currently enrolled in the Macomb Community College paramedic program.
