Technical Support Specialist
- System Administration: A Microsoft 365 administrator ensuring the smooth and secure operation of an organizations off premise Microsoft 365 environment.
- User Management: Creating and managing user accounts, groups, and licenses; managing permissions and access levels.
- Security management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect data and applications within Microsoft 365, including configuring Exchange Online Protection, implementing multi-factor authentication, and establishing conditional access policies.
- SharePoint Management: Developing, managing, and securing company intranet services
- Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to regulatory compliance requirements related to data security and governance.
- Technical Support: Providing technical support to users for Microsoft 365 applications like Outlook. Teams, Power Platform, SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Automate, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user training on new features and best practices.
- System Configuration: Managing and supporting off premise Microsoft 365 services like Exchange, SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams, OneDrive, Azure, and Intune; monitoring system health and usage; deploying updates and features.
- Network Management: Managing and supporting all network services which would include firewalls, routers, switches, and Access points,
- Automation: Leveraging Power Platform and PowerShell for custom administration scripts to automate tasks and streamline processes.
- Reporting: Monitoring system performance and usage through detailed reports available in the Admin Center to make informed decisions and improve efficiency.
- Training: Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
Job Skills:
- Comfortable working with people with disabilities.
- Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 off premise services and applications, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Word, Excel, Power Platform, Power Automate, and Azure Active Directory.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are highly desirable.
- Problem-solving: The ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with users, stakeholders, and other IT teams.
- Experience: Hands-on experience with off premise Microsoft 365 administration and related technologies is important.
- Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.
- Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services.
- Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Android tablets.
- Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
- Reports to the Coordinator of Technology.
- Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company.
- Perform laptop configuration services and repairs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges.
- Actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
- Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions.
- Attend in-person meetings with team members to analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and software problems.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technology field is preferred
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and related technologies is important. 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer-focused position involving technical knowledge of a company's products and services
