Technical Writer II
Position Summary:
The Technical Writer II supports documentation and communication efforts for complex IT and operational processes. This role synthesizes technical knowledge into user-friendly content for a wide range of audiences, including technical teams, business users, and auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create manuals, process guides, SOPs, and web-based documentation using tools like Microsoft Office, Visio, and Snag-It.
- Conduct interviews with SMEs, developers, and QA personnel to gather and validate information.
- Edit, proofread, and standardize internal documentation according to brand and compliance standards.
- Participate in business process reengineering sessions and provide documentation for updated workflows.
- Support testing efforts to ensure documentation reflects current system behavior.
Experience Requirements:
- 5–8 years in system documentation, technical writing, and internal process mapping.
- Experience with HTML/CSS and documentation in UNIX environments is preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional grammar, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $84,000.00 - $142,000.00 per year
