What You Will Be Doing:

• Set up, start, operate, and monitor tempering furnace and related equipment.
• Load and unload glass from furnace conveyor or quench area safely and efficiently.
• Adjust furnace parameters (temperature, speed, blower settings) based on glass type, thickness, and production schedule.
• Inspect glass for quality defects such as distortion, scratches, breakage, or improper temper.
• Identify and troubleshoot process issues, escalating problems when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on tempering equipment.
• Follow production schedules and work orders accurately.
• Record production data, quality checks, and downtime in logs or systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement and training activities.

Skills You Bring:

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment; Glass industry is preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to follow instructions from Supervisor, Plant Manager and/or Branch Manager.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions in a non-climate-controlled facility (Heat, Cold, humidity).
