Test Lead

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead (SDET) to champion the Enterprise Testing group's mission. This role will support the design and construction of engineering test strategies using enterprise testing frameworks, with a focus on financial applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing and refining the test automation strategy for critical financial applications.
• Defining and implementing test automation standards, best practices, and guidelines.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites across the application stack – including UI (Web and Desktop), APIs, and Microservices.
• Developing and modernizing test automation frameworks aligned with DevOps and cloud-native architectures.
• Participating in code reviews of critical components and frameworks.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and implementing quality gates.
• Leading integration, regression, and end-to-end testing strategies with a focus on financial data accuracy.
• Conducting detailed software testing, verification, and validation.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive testing documentation to meet internal and regulatory compliance.
• Promoting best practices in code health, testability, observability, and maintainability.

Experience Required

• 5+ years of SDET experience
• 5+ years in Test Automation Engineering
• 8+ years in building automation frameworks/tools
• 8+ years in quality engineering, architecture, and technology solutions
• 8+ years in programming: Java, Python, TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Playwright, Cypress
• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• API automation using Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured
• Strong in SQL scripting and database testing (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Use of build tools: Gradle, Maven; testing frameworks: JUnit, TestNG
• Version control with GitHub
• CI/CD pipeline design with tools like Cloud Build
• Experience using Jira Xray, and defect tracking
• Experience designing end-to-end automated test cases for real-world financial use cases

Preferred Experience

• Experience with public cloud (especially GCP)
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
• Exposure to GenAI tools for automation
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Virtualization, Kubernetes (K8s)

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
